About us

Avalanche is a three-piece band–Diane Guernsey, Liz Loglisci and Paul Gross–out of New Rochelle and Dobbs Ferry, NY, just north of New York City. We sing and play original songs, written by Paul, that deliver beat and vibrant three-part harmonies. Paul plays 6- and 12-string guitar and harmonica. Diane plays keyboard and creates our vocal arrangements. Liz contributes her memorable vocal timbre and percussive effects.

Avalanche has performed at folk and pop venues in Westchester County, including the Common Ground Coffee House, the New Rochelle Jazz Festival, Bar’Lees Wine and Whisky Bar, Cafe Mozart, the Watercolor Cafe, the Gnarly Vine and Antoinette’s.

For our first CD, Restless Hearts, we teamed with four gifted musician friends–jazz drummer Brian Carter, bassist Kevin Hill, blues guitarist Michael Hill and cellist Mike Lunapiena. The results speak for themselves.

Restless Hearts was recorded at Frequency Recording, now in White Plains, under the supervision of recording engineer Rich Fabrizio.
